"Goofy Spending"

Two articles, on the editorial page of the July 21 (Monday) Tribune, Hey! Big Spender by Bill O'Reilly and Deep debt, deeper trouble from the Washington Post would lay the blame for deficit and frivolous spending on the Bush administration. The truth is, all legislative powers are nested in the Congress of The United States (Article I, Section 1) and all bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives (Article I, Section 7) to be approved by the Senate and the President after which it becomes the responsibility of the Bush administration to administer the funds as pre-determined by the Congress.

So, very simply, both O'Reilly and the Washington Post need to get their facts right and place the blame for goofy spending where it belongs on the Congress of the United States!
